United Pipers for Peace Apeldoorn 2025 is an essential event of our time, with up to 20 pipe bands assembling to remember all the victims of all conflicts, past and present, and adding the sound of the pipes to the growing call for lasting peace.

In 2022, after the huge success of the 2016’s first edition of United Pipers for Peace, commemorating the centenary of the Battle of the Somme, the decision was taken to stage an even bigger, bolder event to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War to end all Wars.
On the 7th and 8th of July 2018, some twenty pipe bands from a variety of European countries paraded through the streets of Amiens for “1918-2018 United Pipers for Peace”, a veritable musical and commemorative gathering, in remembrance of the pipers who steeled the troops for battle during the Great War.
On the 17th and 18th of September 2022, 2 years after the Covid pandemic, UPFP Manchester mourns the loss of Her Majesty the Queen, alongside all citizens of the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and troughout the world. A specially adapted program is being drawn up to pay our last respects to the Royal family.
Now two years later we are delighted to announce that “United Pipers for Peace” is after the latest edition in 2022 in Manchester, back on the Mainland of Europe. Next year United Pipers for Peace will come to Apeldoorn in the Netherlands, the home city of the City of Apeldoorn Pipe Band.
On the 2nd and 3rd of May 2025, some twenty pipe bands from a variety of European countries and from Canada will parade through the streets of Apeldoorn for the “1945-2025 United Pipers for Peace, Liberation edition”, a veritable musical and commemorative gathering, in remembrance of the pipers who steeled the troops for battle during the Second World War.
On Saturday 3rd of May there will be a streetparade for participants of UPFP together with descendants of Canadian military who served in the Netherlands during the Second World War and Children of Dutch veterans.
“United Pipers for Peace Apeldoorn 2025” will symbolise friendship between peoples, peace between nations, men and women of all nationalities standing together, crying out one word loud and clear, in total unison: PEACE.
United Pipers for Peace Apeldoorn 2025 will comprise several hundred pipers and drummers, from all over the world.
